Thanks for a GREAT event ...

 

A Divine Run, 5k Run/Walk was held at Corporate Woods. We would like to thank all of the participants, sponsors, volunteers and all of the other supporters for a great event! There were 570 registered participants, and over $17,000 was raised to support SIDS Resources, Inc., which provides support for bereaved families and education for safe infant care practices.

Congratulations to our overall top finisher Matt Dunlavy (Kansas City, KS) at 17:14.77 and to our overall female finisher Dana Vossler (Prairie Village, KS) at 22:18.52.

Devon’s Story

Devon Hance had a completely healthy four-month-old checkup in late November. Exactly one week later, he was found dead in his crib. The cause of death was determined to be Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

Perhaps every parent’s worst nightmare is to put a healthy baby down to sleep and to discover he has died unexpectedly.

Approximately 2,500 babies die annually
in the United States from SIDS.

In the Kansas City metropolitan area, 30-35 infants die each year from SIDS.
